Two Visual Studio .NET Exams Head into Beta Testing

Microsoft close to releasing two core options for MCAD.NET and MCSD.NET tracks in May this year.

At the end of this month, Microsoft plans ot release two Visual Studio .NET-based exams: 70-306, Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Visual Basic .NET and Visual Studio .NET, and 70-316, Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Visual C# .NET and Visual Studio .NET. Both exams are core options for the new MCSD.NET and MCAD.NET certifications that were announced last month. (See "Microsoft Details New Developer Certifications" in News.)

Exam 70-306, which goes into beta testing March 29 through April 5, will be numbered 71-306. Exam 70-316, in beta April 2 to 9, will be numbered 71-316. Microsoft plans to make both exams available in May this year.
